| Introducing Gary Keniston |
| Gary hails from St. Louis, Missouri USA and now resides in Fleming Island, Florida USA. He is an accomplished singer and lead guitarist specializing in a variety of musical styles. His interest in music and the guitar stems back to his early childhood and he fondly recalls learning to play songs by rock & roll and country artists during his teenage years. Gary loves performing and it definitely shows. He has performed in many different bands of all genres over the years but recently has been entertaining as a "One Man Band" for over twenty years. His play list contains a variety of music consisting of Classic Rock & Roll from the 50’s through the 90’s, New Country, Classic Country, Blues, Jazz, Big Band and "Hot Guitar" instrumentals. |
| Performing as a Singer/Guitarist, he is currently running a computer sequenced show in which all drums, bass lines, piano, horn and string sections etc. are produced in his home MIDI studio. Absolutely NO Karaoke tracks are used! He then performs vocal and guitar "LIVE" in synchronization with the custom made background sequences, thus producing as his audiences have told him, a "FANTASTIC" sound! He was the first musician in his area to incorporate a MIDI controlled synthesizer on stage as a complete back-up band for his solo performances and has demonstrated his MIDI gear for schools, clubs and various organizations. This amazing MIDI technology allows Gary to duplicate the sound of a "Six Piece Band" with INCREDIBLE realism! You have got to see and hear it to believe it! |
| For the past nine years Gary has been entertaining for Carnival Cruise Lines aboard the Carnival Pride, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Legend, Carnival Valor, all Carnivals newest high tech Mega-Liners, and the Carnival Celebration, all featuring "Vegas Style" entertainment. He received high ratings from all six ships while playing the Casino, Promenade, Atrium Lobby, Supper Club, and Captains Parties. He also received hundreds of positive comment cards from passengers of all ages who enjoyed Gary's diverse vocal and guitar talent, personality and professionalism. |
| Gary served as lead guitarist and band leader/music director for the back-up bands in several of the nationally known "Wrangler Country Showdown" talent contests. He also served on the panel of judges as well. Gary has entertained or shared the stage with such stars as Sara Evans, The Kentucky Headhunters, Mel McDaniel, Leroy Van Dyke, Clint Black, The Mavericks, Wylie and the Wild West and "The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis just to name a few. In the past 30-plus years of his music career he has played hundreds of night clubs, parties, weddings, country music shows, numerous live radio and TV spots and the list goes on.... When off the road he stays busy teaching guitar, repairing stringed musical instruments, P.A. and guitar amplification. |
